What does Walter Mondale think now?
I have been away from this forum for eons. Recent events have brought me back. I've been doing some research on the original Mondale Act. Does anyone know whether Mondale has ever commented on how his Act has been misused, abused, distorted, and downright f**ked up?

rlfroo, Can you point out to me anywhere in any of my posts that I have personally attacked you or any other FP? I didn't think so. I am not naive enough to believe that all FP's are "bad" or, conversely, "good". What I infer is that bad or good, FP's perpetuate the problems inherent in this atrocit...

Lost, Just how you determine what is a good or bad foster parent is beyond me. I am sickened that FP's come to this site and are shown the horrors of the people that they collaborate with and then they ultimately say "I've never seen that." Huh? Are we all just making this crap up? Even worse are FP...

At the risk of having my post deleted (again) by GoodDad for what I considered reasonable advice for a FP looking for guidance on this particular website I offer this to ANY Foster Parent: If you are harboring children in your home for profit and the parents of these children have NEVER been charged...

Sue who? The legally immune SW who knew of the requirements but did nothing to ensure that they were met? I've bounced this up and down the state of California from the Governor to the regional head of CPS. All I get is a bunch "it's not my problem..." I don't have the cash to sue right now and the ...

I have a set of two tape recorders. One is a big old fashioned cassete recorder that I place on the table the other is a mini digital recorder that I hide on my person. I usually ask the case worker if they mind being recorded. Most do not, so I turn off the recorder in front of them, which puts the...

My daughter was kidnapped under the auspice that she "might have been in danger at some point in the future". While in foster jail she was placed in immediate danger that included sexual molestation and medical neglect so severe that she was removed from the first foster jail and immediately taken t...

Riverside CPS prefers to kidnap children from school (link)
When I read this I almost puked. Hopefully it will urge EVERY SINGLE PARENT to provide a Hatch Letter, or some variant, ordering the school not to allow your child to be questioned without your explicit permission. It is ILLEGAL for them to do this but it has now become published standard operating ...

I would ask paternal grandfather to petition the tribal elders for emergency recognition of HIS bloodline, i.e., his grandchild. Each tribe is different and many are reluctant to get involved in a CPS case where the child is not presently a member of the tribe. I tried this too. Although my cousins,...

Your therapist will likely hit the proverbial stone wall of silence. I would ask her to file an official complaint with the Police Dept. Do you know if she is a mandated reporter? If so, they have to at least investigate. Also keep in mind that abuse in the system is the norm, NOT the exception, and...

Here's An Interesting Article...
I found this tonight: http://www.socialworktoday.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=576 What amazes me is that the people doing this kind of research never seem to come to the conclusion that perhaps children would be safer and healthier if they were left with their birth families. D...

Your name is probably within months of being dropped from the CACI registry, although if you have the means, I would request that your name be expunged from the record. You can file a 388 Petition, which allows you to introduce "new" evidence in a particular case. The "new" evidence would be that yo...

My Case Was Closed Without Notification...
My wife sent a recent e-mail to her court appointed attorney inquiring about our one year court date which was to be on June 17th, according to our last court appearance. She got a response that, frankly, puzzles me. The attorney stated that the case against us had been dismissed on May 24th, even t...

I just got done reading through this manual and it scared me to death. You're right, according to CA, EVERY family in the state needs some sort of "assistance" from Social Services. I too took the risk assesment tool. I scored a "1" on Risk and a "2" on abuse. You were right, you really can't score ...

I have a different take on "Abuse Exams". When it became obvious that my daughter was being abused in foster hell, I called the Nancy Sinatra Children's Center, supposedly a first class operation. At first they were extremely helpful until I told them that the abuse was occuring in foster hell and t...

TracyP, I would agree with Good Dad, however, I wouldn't bother asking them about the missing paperwork. I would send a certified letter detailing the ommisions instead. If you can, have it notarized, but DO send it certified. They can always claim that you didn't bring it up if you simply ask for i...

vau58, As an EMT, I too "knew the system", and never really thought that it could happen to my family, but it did. As to the illegal wiretapping, is there anything that was recorded by them that might help your case? Do you know which specific conversations were recorded and are they relevant? I per...

If you are staying with your parents then I would suggest that you take Dazeemay's advice and appoint your parents as guardians over your children. DO THAT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! I know that you are scared. We all were when put in your position. In hindsight, having stood in your shoes, I would sugges...

Stacymarks, One thing that I have discovered in California is that if you call the 800 number abuse line, those individuals have all the contact info that you are trying to get. I asked them to detail the chain of command in my county and although they were, at first, reluctant to do so, my persiste...

JennaRae, I would suggest that you advise your children NOT TO TALK TO ANYONE OR ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS UNLESS YOU ARE THERE!!! The state does not have the right to search your property i.e. question your children, without you being present or without a court order. Even with a court order, your child...
