No we still have our rights. We also have a court order for unsupervised.
I did find out however the call was a reference call about
someone I know. It wasn't about my daughter at all. At
leaat that's a relief.

Re: Department of children's services called again
We aren't on the best terms with the grandmother. She gives us visits when it's conveintant to her. We are already planning on going back to court to try and regain custody. I hope your right about it being about her. This incident happened over 2 weeks ago and we got the call this past Friday. I gu...

Department of children's services called again
After 5 and a half yrs. My oldest daughter has come home. She is 18 and starting college on Monday. Yesterday I got A call from children's services. I'm not sure what it's about. My youngest just got herself in some trouble and I don't know weather or not someone call child services. We don't even h...

It is only my opinion, but yes it is neglectful. A child at nine is just that still a child and needs parental supervision. Anyone could have come and kidnapped
her from the park and the mother would never have known.

Re: Heartbroken Family - Justice for Sale
Yes you are right on the 6 month thing. She will have to be in Florida for 6 months in order for it to be considered her legal residence. Once that happens your daughter will need to file for a court order in Florida. As far as him claiming her. She has to live with him at least 6 or more months in ...

Re: False allegations by my neighbor
Make sure your home is immaculate. They will find the slightest bit of dirt and say the home was not fit for children to live in. Have all dishes washed, laundry done and put away. All toys picked up. Check and see if you state allows tape recording. If it does and you don't have to inform them, the...

Re: Devastated about custody
They tried saying my kids were happy where they were but my mom told me later they were only given the choice of going to a foster home or staying with the grandparents. I guess I would pick my grandparents too if I thought I couldn't come home. Our therapist lied and said we minimized or denied wha...

How to regain custody from subsidized permanent guardianship
Hi I live in Tennessee. My kids are in the care of grandparents. It is considered permanent guardianship where the state pays them monthly. They are not in CPS custody. Our case ended about 3 yrs ago. Does anyone know what chances we have of regaining custody? We found a few things that said the gua...

Re: I also have an "ignorant" question but... RE: Adoption
There are agencys that work with expectant mothers who are looking to have their baby adopted out. These are clean adoptions as far as I can tell. The prospective parents make up scrapbooks on themselves and their family so that any expectant mother can read about them. This way the mother chooses w...

Sad day for me
My manager of over a yr passed away this pass Monday due to cancer. No one saw it coming. I do believe she knew. She was my encouragement. She always told me I would get my daughter back someday. This is the daughter that lives in the same hometown as I do. She met my daughter right before her death...

Re: finally unsupervised visit after two yrs
So I learned the other day that cps wrote in their files that parents will never regain custody and they didnt think we would get past supervised visits. Well so far they have been wrong. We are at overnights and doing well. This was what my mother in law told my husband that was in her files. Howev...

Re: finally unsupervised visit after two yrs
The new court orders say that any changes can be made as long as all parties agree. This keeps us out of court again.
We got an unexpected overnight last Sat night and it went so well we are getting another one this Sat.
our daughter was in seventh heven as were we.

I was suprised she has a guardian at litum already. We didnt have one until the kids were removed. She had a meeting on Tues and so far the kids are with her. They are asking for her paystubs every time she meets with them. I think packing and leaving would have the police put out on her since even ...

Thankyou I told her everything you told me Eljay and no the friend is not a drug user. She was planning on checking out our states laws on what is required for suitable housing for her and the kids. I do know they want her to be working at least 30 hrs or more, and are checking her paystubs. Her gau...

friend whos children are at risk
I have a friend that I met at work who is going through a cps investigation. Her kids are still at home but she fears not for long. She has gone through 3 case workers. The first wanted to close the case. Her ex brother in law called on her for drugs and not having suitable housing only because she ...
