Re: Under Investigation Please Advice???

I'm SOOOO confused. You admitted there is an issue and you need help to them, right?

They offered that help and you said no?

Now you want to flee????

WHY?!??

There must be something you are leaving out

Re: Step-Daughter is pregnant now....

has she had HER vitamin D levels tested? is she supplementing? Does she have medi-cal? I've just found out although likely not legal CPS can access medi-cal records. I'd have her move out of state and def avoid the doc like the plague with the new baby. Carlson labs does a great vit d drop for babie...

it doesn't matter what the state law says to them

I'm so sick of our lawyer, for $300 an hour, saying it's OK for them to break the bloody law!

Re: neglect for accessing medical care that is not necessary

it costs $$$ for our lawyer to be at the meeting So the idiot replied. If the kids don't present to her satisfaction she won't close it as unfounded. The one child has selective mutism and doesn't talk to strangers (and has attachment issues after being removed) so she'll just cry, the other one wil...

Re: neglect for accessing medical care that is not necessary

I know that shrink Soooooooo the referral has been proven to be bogus, but the worker says even if my husband meets with her, they will close it as inconclusive of emotional abuse on BOTH kids. is it worth the $$$ to go to a meeting? We will then have to fight it at an admin hearing, cause this is s...

they are right, in a way, but your LAWYER is privy to a copy and of course CPS gets one, that is who pays for it

Re: neglect for accessing medical care that is not necessary

they have a saftey plan, we won't sign it (already doing what is in it)

lawyer says they want to close the case, then why the plan?

the case is against ME although it was my HUSBAND who took her to the doc

if the old case hasn't been leaked all over town THIS case wouldn't be here right now

the case is 100% confidential, then how did the person who refer know ALL the details about our old case?

Re: Do I have to meet with CPS? Do BOTH parents have to?

My kids both have anxiety disorders and the one is totally scared of strangers.

So one would cry the other spit at the social worker, lovely!

No one is willing to do stuff in writing, been there and tried that.

maybe hubbie will go and read his statement, shove it in her hands and say goodbye

Re: Do I have to meet with CPS? Do BOTH parents have to?

well that is the problem, there is no case, they are trying to make a case out of thin air. they believe taking a child to the doctor = abuse, as that is what our first case was, doc said to do tests, we allowed them, we where charged with risk of serious physical harm due to allowing the blood tests

Re: Do I have to meet with CPS? Do BOTH parents have to?

they spoke to the doctor, the doctor says there is nothing wrong, case should be closed. But CPS wants to interview us and the kids without us there still and there are talks of parenting classes.

Our charge is taking our child to the doctor.

Do I have to meet with CPS? Do BOTH parents have to?

Our new case is still open, although our doc said there is NO problem at all. Well worker wants to meet with us both and the kids alone, our lawyer already said the kids alone is not happening due to PTSD they gave them. Well My husband offered to meet her alone, she is complaining, but do they have...

Most of the people I've encountered who are foster parents think CPS is perfect, which is sad. I hope you will see both sides from reading here

Re: Question from a new foster parent

I have to ask, why are you on an anti-cps forum? My parents taught me you can celebrate any holiday any day you wish. If the meeting is the day before, maybe share that statement, and say TODAY is mother's day! Anything you can do is great. A little video, a card, a drawling. I'm sure the mother wil...

Re: it never ends? new case just because of past case

our lawyer was kids counsel in our county for 11 years, I think she would know.

The new county counsel for kids in our county sucks, it's sad that they made the first case much longer due to not advocating for our kids
