That's the best advice. And I wish I had known that sooner. Anytime DCF or CPS calls you and wants to speak to you, your first stop is to get an attorney. Have that attorney with you EVERY TIME you meet with them.

There should be a mechanism in place for people to file complaints against caseworkers. It irritates me to have these CPS workers being referred to as Social Wokers. VERY, VERY, few of them are licensed Social Workers. Most of them are nothing. The other poster is correct. The file they have on you is HUGE! When I saw mine, I nearly dropped. I had to go through the court and have an order to have the case files delivered to the Judge's bench. That is a complete copy of the file (including CPS's own phone logs) and nothing is redacted.
