Re: Our case hasn't been closed...

I highly recommend all of you just move away from the area. Whoever is calling on you will keep calling on you. Except that her ex-husband is the one who made the first 10+ calls. She can't escape him... well, then again, she could file an RO against him for harassment. Filing a false report is ill...

IT'S OVER!!

My husband called to speak with our CPS worker's supervisor today to check up on the status of our cases. The supervisor stated that in the notes it is suggested that all cases be closed and labeled as "unfounded"! It also made mention in the notes that "Family under investigation has...

Our case hasn't been closed...

...but when it is..I need this to be our last 'run in' with CPS. I really just don't think I can mentally take another investigation. My kids freeze and instinctively turn down the TV volume when someone..anyone knocks at the door. I'm afraid to let my kids play in the yard, in fear that a neighbor ...

Re: Can someone link me? *HELP*

Without any evidence/investigation, they would first have to get a warrant to allow for the investigation, whether it be entry into your home and/or interviews with you, dad, kids, etc. Once they investigate, they would then get the warrant to take custody. How did you feel about the social worker?...

Re: Can someone link me? *HELP*

Today is the day! CPS has an appt. to come over to interview everyone at 11am...I've never felt more sick :( Question...Not long ago I ran across a link (I believe) for a little statement on a card that you could print out. It basically is given to your child and when CPS takes them for questioning...

Re: Kept them at bay **UPDATE #4...The police**

Well.......I STILL HAVE MY KIDS!! I really didn't think I would...but we aren't out of the woods yet! Today went pretty well...of course I'm still a paranoid mess but all things considering...I'm pleased. The SW that came was the same worker from my "toddler escape case". And guess what......

Re: Kept them at bay **UPDATE #4...The police**

...At this point I've done my research...gotten excellent advice from this board...schooled and schooled my kids and now we're lining up on the front lines. I really can only hope for the best and pray for the best result. I'll keep you posted. Thanks again for the response:) After today's refreshi...

Re: Can someone link me? *HELP*

Honey.... I think you're overreacting. They've got to complete their investigation. People who abuse their kids do NOT want the kids talking to strangers, especially investigators, because the kids might confess that mom/dad are abusing them. If a parent is there in the room, giving them the stink ...

Re: Kept them at bay **UPDATE #4...The police**

Well, here's the thing about your mother's mental illness and history with cps... Whatever it is or isn't, cps is and has already started this out with her, they will use her mental illness and you knowing about it against you. If you deny it, then they will use her words regarding your family agai...

Re: Kept them at bay **UPDATE #4...The police**

Look ,you call you self a Homeschoolmom. I have great respect for homeschooling but there is a law for this and you should be registered as a home schooler. You should have done this from the get go. You can't just call yourself a home schooler. I venture to say that the Home School Legal Team turn...

Re: Kept them at bay **UPDATE #4...The police**

To me this sounds like excellent news, with police and police investigator present, there must be no warrant for the kids, to pick them up. Yep, they wanted to barge in and use the police as intimidators while they trampled around your house and threatened to take your children. I am glad at least ...

Re: Kept them at bay **UPDATE #4...The police**

******UPDATE #4*********** This morning my husband took our son (the one struck by my mother) back to our house, called our local PD and requested a statement be taken by a juvenile investigator. I really had high hopes, from the excellent advice I'd received here....but I didn't expect this scenari...

Re: Think Small

This is great advice and I'm glad to have read it! I must add...atleast in my opinion; when you have been wronged and your constitutional rights have been blatantly ignored, it infuriates even the calmest of people. These are our babies, the most below the belt shot that could have ever been taken, ...

Re: Kept them at bay **UPDATE #3**

Perhaps I have missed something here but the Home School Organization has a very powerful legal team in force that has taken CPS on in the past. Truth be told, I have skimmed through these posts and perhaps I have missed something but has the original poster even contacted the Home School Organizat...

Re: Preparing for the worst

CPS insists on meeting with us next Wednesday regarding the new allegations my mother kindly called in (not so) anonymously. I looked into having an attorney present but we really just cannot afford it at this time or really...with the hefty retainers...at all! You seem on the ball enough to handle...

And take pictures of your boy's face and butt. I'm on this one! I took pictures yesterday:) I went so far as to point out the 'red/bruised area' using a makeup pencil...just in case! I was a bit wishy washy on this one though, in case the pictures could be used against my husband on a crime he didn...

Re: Kept them at bay **The nail in the coffin**

At 17 I got into an argument with my mom, she hit me, giving me a black eye, was arrested, plead guilty to child abuse but had charges dropped down to a misdemeanor something or another. Ok, so...my mom has sought treatment for mental problems, is medicated and up until last night has appeared stab...

Re: Kept them at bay **UPDATE #2**

I would move before they'd get my kids if I had the chance to do so. They want to speak to the kids to twist what they say and build a case against you to take them from you. The truth does not matter. They only care about winning. They may already have a warrant. They often don't mention it until ...

Re: Kept them at bay **UPDATE #2**

NoRoses4U2C, when you say you'd move before they could take your kids....can you do that? I was under the impression that if you run; to say another state or even county, there's a 'blanket' child removal law. If my kids are set for removal in one state, they will face removal wherever we go. Or isn...
