My experience...
I just wanted to share my experience with cps. I never even had to speak to them! My ex filed false accusations with them back in November and it is now April! The worker originally came to my door when I wasn't home and she left her card. I called and scheduled an appointment, but after the info I ...

Mom in Pennsylvania has baby taken away in hospital
http://www.thehealthyhomeeconomist.com/mother-who-questions-vax-at-hospital-has-newborn-taken-away/ This was posted on my facebook today. The woman who posted the link thinks it is because the mom was considering not having the hepatitis b vaccination. From what I learned on this forum and my possi...

Re: they took my baby from the hospital and cps lied!
I agree with Monkette- what they did to you is SCREWED up!! I would have been on my bike too if cps had taken my new born baby!!! I would have left the hospital immediately as well. What woman who just gave birth to her precious baby could just sit there when someone had stolen her baby?? I hope and...

Child abuse registry?
I just read something on here that says as soon as someone files a complaint with cps, even when the allegations are false, the person's name automatically goes on the abuse registry regardless? Even before there is a chance to have a trial? Is this true? Is anyone from Florida and knows how it work...

Eljay- Wow. I can't believe the supervisor had your case worker change the outcome of the investigation!! That is very upsetting! Do you have your children now if you don't mind me asking? I hope so! I am a Christian too. I always had a huge desire to help young women with low self esteem or who wer...

Re: Article I came across about Florida parents and cps
Here is something that doesn't quite make sense. I understand from the stories on here that cps often does tprs so they can put the children in foster care for the sick purpose of making money. But in this story, the mother's parents took in this couple's children. So, the government/cps wasn't maki...

I know! It is completely horrible. I looked online to see if there was an update after reading that. I wanted to see if they finally got their children back!

Re: Friend works as attorney for thestate in abuse/neglect c
Ohh. So you think certain workers are corrupt/money driven and some are just ignorant and then some are actually decent? I did look my case worker up and she has children; she sounded nice on the phone too. (Well, the first time that I talked to her; before I rescheduled our appt the day before tell...

Friend works as attorney for thestate in abuse/neglect cases
I recently found out that a very old childhood friend (who I hadn't been in contact with for years) works as an attorney representing the state for abuse and neglect cases. She said she represents the state when they want to press criminal charges. When my family and I first heard from cps, I actual...

Re: Update
I have legal custody. A few months ago, he coherced me into signing some agreement he wrote up saying she would live with him the majority of the time; but we never had it notarized as I had a change of heart and realized it wasn't best. So anyways, our court order says she is supposed to be with me...

Ok, another update. My daughter is with me right now- she has been for the past few weeks. I am wondering if I should enroll her in school tomorrow. Her dad wants me to bring her back today to see him, but if I do, I am afraid he will just take her to another state he plans on moving to in a few wee...

Update
I think the cps worker came by again today. I'm not sure if it was her since I didn't answer the door. It is right around 60 days. I think today actually may be the 60 day mark. I didn't answer the door because she caught me totally off-guard; I didn't have a video ready to record the meeting. There...

Has anyone just ignored or refused to talk to cps? Outcome?
Have any of you just not talked to cps? Did they come out to your home when you weren't there? Did any of you just not get in touch with them? Or tell them you wanted to talk to a lawyer first and you never heard from them again? And had a successful outcome? Because I don't know if I should get in ...

Re: my brother said his therapist reported me for abuse/negl
I don't have any advice as to what to do with cps as I am still learning myself. But I can totally empathize with your situation. It sounds so similar to my own. I too have chronic illnesses. I have been stuck in a condo that my parents own for the past few years, as a result. (I would so much rathe...

Sick! CPS gets 10k from the government for putting parents through 6 months of classes?!
Is there any way to keep your children if you are poor and can't use your own providers or hire your own lawyer?

Services??
Please tell me if I'm wrong. From what I gather, the extensive "services" that are offered and one must usually do when accepting a case or safety plan when you want to get your child back are not free. They must be paid for by the parent?? Ok, if this is true, my response is oh my god are...
