Thanks for the links!!!
I have passed the links on to our attorney as well as the links I found here before to Arkansas Dept of Health and Human Svcs. He esp found DHS's handbook "very interesting" It has no real written policy on 'case closing' or 'case opening', but does have around 50 pages on adoptions. That part he fo...

(where one kid says something and another thinks theirs has to be bigger, better etc)~ One of the kids ...

Since I posted that, I've received notice to come in on May 24th for a "closing inverview". It says I can bring my attorney, which I intend to do but what is a closing interview? As I said, they are missing 1/2 an investigation including the paperwork they should have filled out to OPEN an investiga...

After much searching (and help from you guys) I found the statute for Arkansas: Unsubstantiated reports are kept at least until the end of the fiscal year. After the end of the fiscal year they can send unsubstantiated reports for the preceeding year to the Center for the Study of Social Policy revi...

Thanks According to that statute our names shouldn't have even been on the list but I have the paper stating they put them on AND turned us into the prosecuting atty (even though according to THEIR records the case was closed 2 months ago as unsubstantiated). Odd how since their case was closed they...

As to talking on cordless phones, when my oldest was a baby his baby monitor picked up the people in one of the houses around us every time they were on their phone. We couldn't switch channels on the model we had and we could hear word for word their conversations. Eventually we just got rid of the...

The school must have a record of what the other kids is saying. . Oh the school knows but it isn't in any record I'm aware of. Both the CPS investigator who opened the case and the State police woman who came with her to our house told me that my husband acknowledged the event happened and told my husband vice versa. We both told them they were nuts that we had only spoken to them once (I KNOW ONCE TOO MANY) and we were bot...

There is a kid on our street that we won't let our children play with because his dad has porno's that the kid keeps getting into and the kid has a mouth on him like a sailor (he's 10). Where my kids used to go to school, if you sent their lunches and the school deemed them "unsatisfactory" they would give the kid a school lunch and then charge you full price for it even if the kid didn't eat it. One day I sent a PBJ sandwich, chips and fruit juice to drink and they gave my kid a h...
