The question of "What were you charged with criminally" was not directed at you, but o the original poster.
Her post states "In the criminal case tied to the original removal I was not allowed to plea the 5th, I was told I would be thrown in jail."

What were the exact reasons that CPS gave you for taking your daughter? Did they have a court order to remove your grandchild? Did they have a court order to remove your daughter? Had there been any allegations of abuse or neglect by you in the case of your daughter? CPS can NOT legally just come in...

Baby drowns while parents drink beer-NO charges
The parents put thier 8 mo. old baby & 2 yr. old in the bathtub. The baby drowned while the parents were in the livingroom drinking beer. No criminal charges were filed. The story doesn't mention CPS, but I'd think they'd be involved. I'm sure the parents are grieving, but to me, it does seem ne...

If they can stay in your lives for 6 mos. after the children are returned home, then 6 mos. would be June, so July isn't that much longer. Perhaps the courts were booked up or the judge was going to be on vacation in June, etc. and that is why he scheduled the next hearing for July, instead of June....

Below is what the OP wrote. It is a little hard to understand due to some grammatical errors. I think that is where the confusion is coming into play. [quote="eyeq181"]Our case is at a stand still. One phrase that pisses me off is "Well your kids are learning coping skills." They are pre p...

Child is Killed--Mom had Previous CPS Cases
This happened in Nacogdoches, TX, where I am from. (Though the child died in LA---I assume the Nac. hosp. had the child transferred to a better hops. in LA--probably a Childrens Hosp). http://tinyurl.com/d825qm It is SO very sad! I do not see how any one can harm a child like that. What surprises me...

I also agree with Linda about NOT letting CPS workers into your home! Even the Home School Legal Defense Fund, whose lawyers represent homeschool families that join the homeschool association in TX, advise parents to NOT let cps workers inside your home if they come to your house. It's heartbreaking to hear what happened to the baby. I'm surprised the baby was allowed to go home with the mother. Have you outright asked the mom if she'd be willing for you to raise the baby? She could give you temproary guardianship. If she really has no desire to parent, as you say, then she m...

From what I've read, he had a seizure disorder....starts with a K....can't remember...but, they did not give him meds for it as their religion (Scientology) doesn't permit it. Many believe his son was also autistic, but his parents denied that. I read that the Scientologist teach that a person that ...

No, it's not too much for your lawyer to ask that the case be closed. It's your right to ask that via your lawyer. The judge makes the decisions. Your lawyer should ask the new judge (your ex's lawyer) to excuse himself from hearing the case. But...I don't understand...if he is a judge NOW, then he ...

gooddad, My point was that at almost 16 years of age, CPS is not going to be iinvolved with the family for very long. My point had nothing to do with how long you are in the registry or future employment, etc. But, I will say, that I personally am not so convinced that being in the registry affects ...
