The reason they won't go on your pictures, because the case is about you, not him. There is no Case about him. I would attach the Pictures with the Declaration of Facts Sheet, keep copies, and give to the Judge himself on the SAME DAY that this CPS Worker recommends to the Judge that the Children b...

Re: Merits/Intervention Hearing

My daughter now knows that her actions caused a great deal of grief within our family, and caused her a great deal of trouble as well, and though it's not much consolation, at least she understands and may not make those types of mistakes in the future. Hopefully your daughter will come to that und...

Re: Merits/Intervention Hearing

Does anyone know anything about a Merits/Intervention hearing? I believe it is a term used only in my state, but am not sure. Anyway, my lawyer has told me that it is basically a glorified negotiation, and that we more than likely will not go before the judge. What I was really wanting to know is s...

Re: counselor meeting

Thanks Jubilee, that is why we want to reiterate to the counselor that unless the parents change the judges mind about supervised visits we are committed to making sure that even with CPS out of our lives we will not allow unsupervised visits, PERIOD. We are instructed by CPS and the judge to not a...

I am 3/4 Indian, by Cherokee Indian Tribe, but I can't prove it, because I don't know where my Grandfather is. However, we never found him, altough I am still searching. Even my Mother looks Native American. These CPS People never put this into consideration or never asked! I mean look at my...

Re: County Contact

I just found out that the county contact I am trying to get into touch with is the supervisor for foster care licensing. I talked with my daughter last night and the foster p. were have a big party/get together at their home with family and friends. This supervisor was at this party, my daughter sa...

Re: Good news about our attorney

We signed releases with each counselor, so Monday I will get copies and provide them to the case worker accompanied by a certificate of service. The marriage counselor is not limited to marriage counseling, our sessions this evening (2nd one) was pretty much about how we are going to handle the kid...

i dont think the 72 housr rules apply because they havent technically removed the children. if the mother leaves on her own accord, then the state doesnt have to do anything. But left on her own by threat of removal. Gosh, seems like a lot of trouble for a case that has no evidence...like substanti...

Subsidy Update

For anyone who might need to know or for future reference: I stated prior that my grandson, whom I am adopting, was turned down for a subsidy in my state. I was notified by the adoption division worker when she did a home visit last month, but could not understand how he was turned down when I never...

I never HEARD of Charges being MAILED to YOU. Usually they have a Sheriff SERVER to SERVE YOU THE PAPERS, NOT MAILED. I have many Court experiences and got many papers SERVED to the other Person. It never can be MAILED. . The DA will often file charges before an investigation is completed. They lat...

More CPS worker drama

There was a lady that lived in my neighborhood...actually just a few doors from me. Her kids were wild, and one day walking home from school her son attacked mine with a knife and held it to his throat. They were all of ten at the time. I went over and threw a fit on that lady, told her that her hou...

Does anyone know if it is Legal or Illegal to lock your Gate Door with Locks? I think it helps if one were to put a Sign up "PRIVATE PROPERTY". I remember a while back on these boards that someone's Lawyer told him to call the Police saying "I have unwanted persons on my Property and I want them of...

Welcome to the site jubilee I've read a few of your posts at ASCPS. I don't think anyone here would consider you a "system suck" because you feel CPS is justified in some cases.. I'm glad things turned out well for you and yours Thanks for the welcome and your kind comments :) Betty

Thanks for all the advice. I have applied for section 8, but they did make sure to tell me that it could be in excess of 24 MONTHS before I would be hearing from them. I am hoping all of this will be over WAY before then, and with my husband's income, we will not qualify anyway. Section 8 is just no...

Hi Jackie

I enjoyed reading your post about the return of your children, and I find it very commendable that you do care about the feelings of the foster family. Foster parents do have feelings, and that is something that DFS often forgets. They think that these people should be able to just act as if they we...

Curious if anyone has any experience with adoption subsidies

My Case: My grandson was placed with me by the courts regardless of DFS' desire to have him continue placement in foster care. The plan became adoption by grandmother and husband. I notified DFS that I would be willing to complete the foster care training that they offer, but they refused saying tha...

Just curious, did anyone consider this?

It is possible that this family computer has been accessing the web sites that are stated in the removal. Several years ago I had a computer with Win98 on it. I somehow got a virus (more like my husband or one of the kids got it) and I started getting pop ups to porn like crazy. It was so bad that i...

I tried to post this, similar, yesterday but my computer hung up in the process. I was led to this group by posts on usenet ASCPS, and am more commonly known there as Dragon's Girl. On to my story: In 2004 my daughter, then almost 17, spoke with the first cousin of my ex husband, and made arrangemen...
