J came home Sept 29 for a trial home visit. On Dec 19 the judge ordered DCS to close the case. Because DCS was believing everything that J said they had alledged allegations against the foster mom the case manager and the everybody else he had seen in the last year. So... J was out of our home for a...

we called the umbudsman's office and explained what all was going on and told them about the unethical actions of the CM. That was all it really took, I think it was because we talked to the umbudsman for East TN and he poked around (we are in Western TN) It should be noted that there were other com...

Thank you Gary. There have been many hugs. As for helping other families? :) The DCS office has had almost an 80% turn over since August. 10 families have been reunited that weren't "scheduled" to do so until early next year. Our county office is under investigation now. If this is what it took to g...

We pick him up in 4 hours. Finally, our family will be back together. We go back to court Dec 19th and then DCS said they would be gone. We had done some snooping on the therapeutic CM and that is what sped things up. We are still debating if we should sue or let sleeping dogs lie. We just don't kno...

It's been awhile since I have been on here... things have been busy. Since mid-August, J has been coming home on the weekends and unless DCS screws things up (which they are trying to do) He will be home for the 60-90 day trial home visit. What has benefited us is that his severe behavior problems h...

It is helpful. There is a lot of sorting through that we will have to do. See, after our last visit in May, we chose not to see J until it went back to court because J manipulates and lies and was telling the CM and FM things that did not happen. He had also told us things that we didn't believe hap...

Okay... we finally notified the umbudsman in Tennessee for the DCS stuff. We told him what was going on and he seemed very concerned. After he made a few phone calls he called us back and aside from saying that DCS says we didn't say things we did say and that they did say things they didn't, he com...

Yes. The problem resulted in being too many irons in the fire. The fostermom needed respite and instead of telling us that it was just going to be over a weekend, she said he would be gone for two weeks. We called the DCS casemanager and she HAD NO CLUE what was going on but then said that they coul...

Yes, the DCS casemanager does not know where J is. She has not returned our calls or email either. WE don't want to rock the boat but our child is missing. Something has to be done. UPDATE:: CM called. She says she couldn't get ahold of the foster mom but the therapeutic CM says that J is still with...

The CPS worker that came out is the supervisor. We found that out in court. There was no permission granted for anything. In fact they interviewed the girls without my permission. DH only has one biological daughter. I have two. They did not have my permission to talk to them. The only way I have fo...

The CPS worker came with a detective and said that there were serious allegations concerning one of my children. This was after they asked if they could come in and I had told them that I was expecting my youngest's therapist. They went on to say that it had to be talked about now and I asked what d...

Sometimes the Kids can be forced or coerced into agreeing to Adoptions. That is illegal. Noone can enter into any legal biding agreement until the age of 18 without the permission of the PARENT/ LEGAL GUARDIAN signing in agreement. Read that carefully and take it with a grain of salt. Even if they ...

Thank you Marina... definitely gonna see where we can go with this. DH talked to our caseworker today and shockingly she believes that there is somebody stirring up trouble. She wouldn't go into detail but said she is getting second hand info and things look awful odd. Other than that... I got a chu...

ok... since I can't find it.... is there anyway to take DCS to court for harassment? I am asking because their "anonymous" reports are things that have previously been disclosed in court documents and in J's assessment interviews. It is things that for two years both kids have said that bio mom did ...

Right now the little one falls under early intervention. And he is on Medicaid. What is preventing the therapy is time. Court date here meet with worker there.... that stuff. In J's case they stated that we were giving the little one too much attention and not addressing J's needs. We gave them proo...

We haven't signed any papers in this case. It was late in the evening when we got ahold of the lawyer and he said not to sign anything. We are all of the suspicion that they are trying to remove A too just to do it.The caseworker with J's case believes that bio mom should have them despite that we h...

Why not just mess with one...
Well, we thought we had this one handled... In March we got a visit from another CPS worker. I didn't answer the door so he left his card. DH called to find out what he wanted and it was he needed to check on the welfare of his daughter based on the fact that she had gone to the hospital in April 20...

I don't know that you can prove no abuse occurred. Essentially you need to get any police reports that were made and interviews or statements from people that know you and can say they have never seen abuse. A lawyer may be beneficial but I don't know what they could do. It's like they are telling y...
