Re: not surprised, but pissed
They do that in the beginning too. The first thing that most parents do when their kids are gone is deep clean their home knowing this the caseworker stops by when they know that you won't be there so they can put it in there report that they saw a light and it appeared that someone was home. The li...

Re: Can they really take your baby??!!
exactly! They only way I know for a fact that they CAN NOT take a newborn is if you have the child in another state and you live in that state They can not cross state lines. I know because I moved from Oklahoma back to Texas during my case because my ex was beating the daylights out of me I had a c...

Re: we are new to this and we need advice
This made me smile, but it is so true.....Best advice ever! Thank you for the post. To everyone here is an update of what is going on, MJ contacted our coordinator and told her that the case is still open and that she was just looking for the major drugs, but she told us that it's not just the major...

The Pain Never go away.....ever
The last time I got to see my kids was Dec. 20 2009. I wasn't told it was going to be the last time. I was told that I could see them up until the trial and I had plans just in case it were to end badly. I was going to take them to get their pictures made and I was going to take them shopping and I ...

Fight or Flight.... It does some strange things to your body. Might want to research all the information on that and see if that helps.

Okay, You guys know how the state works right. Well here is the situation. The state terminated my rights because I left my abusive ex. They said I was unstable even though I have had the same roof over my head since the day I left bills are paid on time and in full. I have been safe for 9 months an...

Exit Option
I am needing to know about this.
Is it a good alternative to losing your parental rights during trial. I know it falls under the same category.
I am going to court tomorrow after noon. To decide rather or not I am going to trial.

I caught them and can I use it.
They have been tormenting me over my 15 year old son, they told me that he doesn't want to have anything to do with me and that he is mad. And that is why he doesn't want to even talk to me. He has moved on. They even went as far as to say I know it hurt to hear this. I have it all on tape. I also h...

I have not appealed anything yet. But I have heard something along these lines too. I have been told by everyone outside of my case that a jury will not terminate my rights. Yes I tested positive for amphetamines not meth, but the second test proved that I was not on anything I had a blood test done...

Well I get to go to trial on termination of my rights. They said if I voluntarily do it then I will still get to visit them since they as of now are going back to my ex. Here is my situation. The reason why they want to terminate my rights are this. I left my abusive husband. I was going to be kille...

Thank you I will when I go to court. Thing is I left my abusive husband, between that and the state I have PTSD over it. I was fine with my kids and would have left the situation but when my kids were taken I couldn't. He tried to kill me. At this point they are saying because I left I abandon my ki...

Is this legal?
Okay I am getting ready for pre termination of my rights trial. Here is the catch, they never sent me the paper work on why? Is that legal to sue someone but not tell them why. They have only stated that my sleeping habits haven't changed. Well how would they know what my sleeping habits are. Really...

I just feel like no matter what I do it is bad. I wore nothing but speak out bracelets for 2 years not one caseworker notice. When I all came out I was told by my caseworker that she didn't know about domestic violence and child abuse because she has never been a relationship like that. I asked what...

I am fighting. I found out that all I have to do is an assesment to see if I am a victim. He will have to do the classes if it is found that he is an abuser. But what gets me is that the Casa and the social worker knew this and the neglected to report it. And were about to award custody to my husban...

Well I went to court. They are ready to terminate my rights to my children, because I left. Even though I have kept contact with them on a weekly basis. And told them why I left. It doesn't matter really I told them what my husband is and they still take his side. They stood right there and brought ...

I am up the night before court. It is going to be a battle. I can already tell. My husband who has been proven to be a psychopath is the one they see fit to raise the kids. They don't even know what that means. It means he is able to change is personality to manipulate the situation. The worst thing...

There is documentation of this, they have had it all in hand. Then want to ignore it along with a failed evaluation. No joke. In the states eyes there is several documentations that he is abusive and the kids have said it, and yet they find him to be the perfect parent. They are giving him the kids,...

My husband went nuts and tried to kill me. I tried really hard to stay. He was abusive and controlling. I got walking pneumonia and passed out and the kids went outside to get help. We would have had them back but hubby got all depressed and tried killing himself, then about a month later tried to k...

Okay I left, I left my husband who tried to kill me, and not sure if it will hold water since the state looks at him as perfect, and me as the bad one. They see how my children act. And basically blame it on me. And not on the one who by my standards shouldn't be fit for society. What to do?

Court Yesterday! It's amazing when you go to court without an attorney, there is a feeling of accomplishment. I have notice in our case that the GAL has been more or less on our side. It's like she can read our mind. When the subject of transition period came up, she stated that there was not one wh...

It sounds like they are just trying to get to the bottom of things. And in time you will be found not guilty. Since the caseworker stated that this child had been molested in the past this is what they are trying to figure out who and what. It sounds like you are just being protected during this inv...
