We got lucky, Fla dropped the case there. The kids packed up and left there so fast they left a smoke trail  The trial in Ga unfortunately was not dropped. That will be coming up sometime in March. This DA is a king size jerk. He knows the kid lied yet he insists on pursuing the case. He's so d...

This Da has made 2 offers, or so I understand. The most recent I have yet to validate with his lawyer. It supposedly is for 5 years probation, and the label. His family is coming apart at the seams. Yes, he has 2 children with her, + the 14 yr old and his wife's sister's little girl. Her sister had ...

No, this wasn't a criminal case. It was 2, 4 yr girls fooling around in the bathroom at daycare. I don't know if the judge ordered the case closed or not, don't know how to find out. If the judge did order the case closed (?), then how can CPS keep any file on it open, closed would be closed. I need...

This is a case where the whole family moved from Ga. to Fla. The case I refered to was a child on child, to which the Judge in Ga. sealed the files. I don't know if the case was closed or not. I don't know how to get that information, If anyone knows how I'd appreciate the help My question is; if th...

What is the procedure / one state hands off case to another?

Is there a specific procedure that has to be followed when one state hands over a case to another? (In this case Ga. to Fla.)
When can the new state legally do a home interview?

This nightmare gets worse. Bet ya didn't think that was possible. Did I mention the mother is Bi-polar? The state sort of has legal custody, she has physical custody. It was determined that is should not be left alone with the kids. The poor thing is on so many drugs, it's a wonder she can function ...

Yes. the porn thing happened in Ga. The investigator evidently took it upon herself to contact Fla to do a follow up. I don't think any files were exchanged according to the papers I've seen. Ga investigator just told them what her opinion of the situation was. The child disclosed in the (home) inte...

The child in question lives in Fla, I unfortunately live way up in NY. I'm having a hard time trying to find anything about CPS laws for interviewing in that state. Let me explain this situation a little further that might help. The family lived in Ga. While living there the youngest child saw some ...

Lots of questions about CPS procedures

A child in our family said she was being molested, she wasn't, she was just mad at her stepfather because he moved the family away from her boyfriend. Obviously CPS is involved. Once the child discloses the alleged abuse, isn't the interview supposed to stop right there so the interview pr...
