Unfortunately, going after workers is hard. It can be done, but they hold partial immunity. You have to prove beyond a reasonable doubt, with evidence, that their lies were malicious and not just a "mistake". It can take years and a hundred grand. Lawyers aren't jumping at the opportunity....
