Home Schooling
In Texas home schooling is not a CPS issue. If you ever have a CPS worker arrive at your hoe and even bring it up tell them to read the policy from Joyce James.

Texas CPS workers
In Texas, just as I assume in all other states, anyone can be subpoened to any court hearing.
Workers cannot go to a court hearing (policy not law) unless it is a CPS case or they receive a subpoena.

The most terrifying words in the English language are "I'm from the government, and I'm here to help" -- The most terifying thing in the world is for your cell phone to ring and see that it is the police department and when you answer they start off: we have a dead child.

Guardianship
As you know I am a Texas CPS Investigator. Guardianship only applies if the child named is actually in the care, custody and control of the guardian named. To have the document with the child remaining with the parent voids the document. Also to be valid the guardianship must be irrevocable or for a...

There is no Mike Lockett employed by Theas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services. In Texas it is illegal to intervrfere with a CPS
investigation. Regardless of the reason.
This is a seldom used provision of the law because it is investigated by law enforcement not CPS. Law Enforcement usually wants to start their investigation by having CPS remove the children.

If there is a Court Appointed Special Advocate Program in your area contact them immediately. They will have someone to go to court to represent your daughter and only your daughter. CASA does not represent parents only children.
