Take it slow, make them earn back your trust. They arent living with you anymore so they cant be taken, but

We agreed to have our children exit custody in the care of grandparents because they said if we appealed it we would lose our
rights. Then when we told the review board that our caseworker lied and said it wasnt true. My stepfather also lied and said it wasnt true.

There is also a law in most states that the interview has to be recorded. I dont know if thats all states, but it might be something for you to check on.

I agree with what family man said about the GAL. Ours was a waste of time. He didnt do a thing he was suppossed to do
and our caseworker said they rarely do. I hope when we go back to file charges on the mother in law for not complying with court

You may need to hire a lawyer, but if you think you have enough proof that the NCP is abusing the child while visiting,
you can ask the court to give supervised visits to them. This will insure the safety of the child.
