i think after the case closes, you can open a case in family court and work out the custody. I am in Los Angeles and that's how I've seen it done out here, albeit it is usually one parent, after losing custody in dependency court taking it into family court to alter custody and visitation.

i think you would need to find a forensic expert to work with you on your case and submit evidence on your behalf to your lawyer. There are experts across the nation who review medical cases/files and issue a report. Anyone cps uses of course is going to say whatever they want.
