In NY a complaint against CPS is made to the State CPS at their Metropolitan Regional Office. So that's what I did. I asked the investigator for a copy of all her paperwork regarding my complaint. She said there wasn't going to be a copy of any paperwork because she was going to type everything int...

Call your local CPS hotline in the middle of the night. Ask the worker what you would have to do to get a copy of your case record. If he/she doesn't know, ask to speak with the supervisor. Someone there should be able to help you. CPS case records are confidential and are only available in certain...

Re: Filing suit to get cps records
I have verbally requested, and filed the written request to obtain my records. The agency keeps citing W&IC 827 (california) and tells me I have to request them through the courts. First of all, 827 states specifically that a party to the action is entitled to the records..I am a party. Secondl...

My husband went in front of the judge today for his bail review, so far so good. The bail was released and the judge told our lawyer that if he could file an order and have the states attorney sign it then my husband can come home until court. The only stipulation with that is my husband is not to ...

I'm trying to ascertain your logic regarding why you criticize and mock those who are fighting for this cause. You claim to support this cause but (some of) your actions don't support that claim, in fact they support just the opposite. Again, I asked for the reasons for your actions that served to ...

Sorry Dan, I didn't realize you consider my questions "fighting", I don't see it that way. I'm merely trying to discuss an issue with you, no name calling, just trying to understand your logic. I take it that your reply to me with the big bold letters should not be considered "fighting" but you pur...

I see Dan, so you claim you criticize and mock what I'm trying to accomplish because I asked for your help (too many times?). So what about when you criticized and mocked what I'm trying to accomplish before I asked for your help? What were your reasons for doing that? http://forum.fightcps.com/vie...

Whatever Dan. Your argument is irrelevant regardless of what kind of spin you want to put on it, anyone can write proposed legislation and submit it to the legislature. No one has any experience writing proposed legislation before writing the first one. Your point makes no sense. My point makes per...

And more importantly, why would you argue this issue anyway? YOU keep raising the issue, Bob. Yesterday you wrote, "This is about the 5th time I asked you to work with me/us to reform CPS..." you, Bob, have no success in writing legislation. Sure I do. I succeeded in writing the Family Preservation Act of 2006 and the Family Advocate Act. That's 2 pieces of proposed legislation I succeeded in writing. Success in writing legislation isn't the fact that you wrote something on a piece of p...

Nobody has mentioned a plea bargain as of yet... The plea bargain will be offered just prior to the start of jury selection. The DA will keep you sweating for a LONG time first. The injury doesn't support the allegation. Exactly what the lawyer said when he told my husband and I that he couldn't see...

The CPS worker is a young single, no children of her own, know it all. She is arrogant, and quite pushy. She believes my husband is guilty of abuse and she will stop at nothing to put him away for the full 30 years. Never gonna happen. The DA is gonna offer a plea bargain. If your husband refuses a...
