The original came from another site, http://thefightagainstcps...

CPS showed up at my sister's house on may 2nd and the emergency hearing for placement happened may 6th for my daughter to be removed. So does that qualify? Can I get it dropped because of it? 72 hours does NOT include weekends or holidays, May 2 was a Friday and I doubt she could get it dropped aft...

they said we would work something out for the "remaining visits". I hate the way that sounded. Searcher, You know they lie.. If you fight it to the end and can show you have done everything asked of you, it is very, very difficult for them to convince a court to terminate your parental rights, pare...

If they took the kids, by law they have to hold a hearing within 72 hours. This is not up to the CPS worker.

This hearing would take place even if the parents didn't show up.

Did they take custody of the kids?

Even if CPS stays involved in your lives for 6 mos. or so, it's not going to go on for very long due to your son's age...he is almost 16. I have to disagree, in this particular case and any that future employment may involve working with kids or the elderly, the punishment lasts many years because ...

I'd borrow one or else they are pretty cheap at a pawnshop, the 80 or 100 bucks spent would be cheap compared to the price of fighting a court case.

If you lawyers tell her to contact them.

Hi If you have a camcorder I'd somehow get on tape your son saying "If you tell me no I'll tell everyone you beat and starve me" Then ask him why he would say that. Ask him if he says this about his teacher and why. You need evidence to show that he will say this anytime, about anyone. I'd go in now...
