sibling visitations
Our 17, soon to be 18 yr old is signing herself out of foster care at the end of this month. Would anyone know if she has to petition the court to visit her siblings?

You keep saying that and it will come true. If you tell yourself that you won't get him back, then you have lost already.

Re: Our Story
update: just got the message that the younger 4 were removed friday. the 16 and 4 yr old in one home and the 1 yr old and the baby in another. I had hoped that the 16 yr old would be grouped with the baby and that the 4 and 1 yr old would be grouped together, but beggers can't be choosers. At least ...

Our "babysitter" was fired
Update to date: We had our SPR with the foster agency yesterday(it is hard to digest all that happened). We went in thinking we wouldn't be heard. Turns out we were so wrong. There sat the facilitator, the case worker, her old supervisor and her new supervisor, and one of the foster parents. (The ot...

Re: Substantiation for taking 70mg of Zantac!?!
First and foremost, as most of the more experienced on this board will say, you DON"T have to let them in your house again. You DON'T have talk to them without your lawyer present.(In fact, they usually run when they hear the word "lawyer") And if you do let them in, DO take notes and...

Because you don't live, or dress, the way they do you have to be mentally insane. These people are not doctors nor do they hold any form of a medical degree. Yet, they like to hand out psychotic diagnosis like its candy just to justify their misguided sense for having a superiority complex

We was in Arkansas up until a yr ago. The attorney general's office handles most of the complaints about government services in Arkansas. And they have excellent bedside manners.

Re: This just sucks
To answer question #3 This is what they got us on. By their interpretation, yes a (insert finger quotes here)messy(and here) house is a crime. It constitutes, at least in our case, child endangerment. We had clothes on the floor around a laundry bag because we were getting ready to do laundry, empty...

Re: Our Story
As in an affidavit in to what really happened and not what CPS dreamed up? Yes. And on the advice of a friend who "grew up" in the system and fought the system in adulthood for her own children, we are considering writing a letter to the judge. Mainly because we don't feel our, the whole f...

Re: Our Story
I have been telling myself that is why she hasn't been coming to the visits. That it was too emotionally pain for her to come and spend four hours a week with her mother only to go and live in someone else's house(that and a few other emotions) She is having trouble dealing with all of this. The soc...

Re: Our Story
The case worker told me that my daughter told the foster mother that she wanted to hurt herself because of the letter. And I don't know what she told the hospital because I was never told she went to the hospital until today. I had it given to her Monday so I can only assume that all this happened M...

Re: Our Story
Since my 16 yr old refuses to come to visits or take calls from me-for whatever reason- I decided to write a letter stating that I missed her and I love her and that if she wanted, she can call either me or my father(who is concerned about her, as well). Well today, after a monitored call with the t...

Re: Worried about my Psych Eval
Well I don't know how we did it, but my husband managed to convince the doc that he was suffering from adjustment disorder due to ACS involvement(yes, it is written in the psych eval) and I managed to come out clean. The therapist had to harass his boss into giving me Adjustment disorder so ACS woul...

Call their bluff? Not a bad idea. My husband has already asked his attorney to ind out who the lead detective was. No answer yet. As to the service plan. I have had to ask my husband to clam down when it comes to our case planner, before she starts asking for anger management classes. He has been fl...

Our criminal pre-trial was this morning and the judge was a little confused as to why we were still in front of him. He asked where the kids were and if we were complying with family court and seemed happy with the answers he got. Scheduled for fact finding trial in June. My lawyer told me that at t...

forgot to mention, the 16 yr old's GAL petitioned the court to have separate visits with me, and after rolling her eyes the judge agreed. at the last visit, I asked when those visits would start and was told that they won't because she wrote a letter to the case worker stating that she doesn't wish ...
