Re: cps took control of my grandson
My grandson is two years old and will be three in August. On April 20th he was down for a nap and my daughter who is a single mother took a shower. He woke while she was in the shower and was able to get the door unlocked and left the house. When she came out from her shower and found him missing a...

Re: Step-Daughter is pregnant now....
My step-daughter has had her perental rights taken away, she is now appealing this decsion. My worry now is that, she is 4 months pregnant, will they try taking this baby away also? we live in Riverside County, California As an outsider, I would wonder why she had her rights removed? There could be...

If that father has joint custody, they could have merely allowed him to take his children "without" intervention or any safety plan / court filing.

Re: Question about Background Checks
Based on what you said, I wouldn't sweat it. If the allegations against you were unfounded, you should be fine regardless of whether it shows up or not. It sounds like they cleared you which means you were innocent in their eyes. They believed your husband to be the one that did this by finding agai...

Ello I'm Vanessa or Nessa as everyone calls me. I'm a single mom who's been raising a emotionally and mentally disabled child for almost 13 years. My child has been removed from me because CPS & my son's counseling office didn't like that I wouldn't do their parenting style. Which is called &qu...

I don't know that area. I know one of the mods on here is real knowledgeable about Texas. He probably can give you some good attorney info.
Do you actually have an ongoing case that old? If not, you might need to just file for custody in civil court against the parties that have the child.

Texas is a big state, and CPS/Police operate different in various areas. What portion of the state are you in? That could help somebody in referring you to a decent attorney.

My daughter has had a serious drug problem since 2009.While she stayed with us,she was required to take drug tests. On the non-secure custody order that a cps worker presented to ajudge, It stated that I was not a suitable placement for my grandson because of prior court findings. That is exactly w...

Re: They are supposed to protect
It is very hard to prove emotional abuse. In most cases, the police are not going to investigate emotional abuse and refer that to the child welfare folks. Unfortunately, custody issues are very common, and in many cases the children don't want to see one parent. Unfortunately, both the police and c...

Ms. Caseworker, nor ANY cps goon, has ever been denied into my home. Shoulda been, but that's another story. Apparently, Ms. Caseworker dropped by, unannounced, on a weekday, in mid morning, when she KNOWS I was at work and my remaining children were at school . Never mentioned it, never followed u...

Re: Can they really take your baby??!!
They only way I know for a fact that they CAN NOT take a newborn is if you have the child in another state and you live in that state They can not cross state lines. I know because I moved from Oklahoma back to Texas during my case because my ex was beating the daylights out of me I had a child and...

No. Not attorney general. I did contact multiple lawyers. Not interested. Multiple state reps and senators. Not interested. Multiple child advocacy agencies. Advice but no investigation. State and CPS grievances. No reply. Of course, first I worked my way up through CPS chains of command, to no ava...

Don't bother calling CPS... call the POLICE!!!!!!!!!! They have told you that they are filing false reports with the specific intent to take your children away. The kids would go to their father before they went to a aunt/uncle or grandparents. CPS can not do a thing about the false reporting. The ...

The judge in my case declared she didn't care about my constitutional rights when I brought up the constitution. I was told social workers didn't need a warrant to come into my home. When they took my daughter from me, two social workers physically forced their way into my home after I had politely...

Thanks for the link. If this is a small town by the sound of it, ask for outside investigators, ect. There should be no conflicts of interests.

Look, of anyone in the world, I've considered every scenario imaginable, to OTHER EXPLANATIONS. I DON'T want it to be true. She, without ever being asked, said 14 times over 10 weeks, that daddy did it. Daddy, not papa, not bubby, not sissy, not mommy, not anyone. Always daddy. At the same time, go...

Fatherofthree, a little (okay, alot) hard to believe you're a retired cop, wanting to start an investigation business, know dozens of social workers, worked years investigating child abuse, but never heard of nor know what causes an STD. Did your post say the FA was allegedly raping the daughter? N...

Re: Very Hurt and Confused
First off, you had a very serious domestic violence incident. You knocked your spouse to the ground while he was holding the baby? I won't sugarcoat it and IMO there is no excuse for that. He then choked you? Who was watching the baby during that? Based on your post, your baby could have been seriou...

Too vague. They would look into why the first kids were taken, and what the risk is with the new born.
