Arkansas Supreme Court

The incarcerated father filed a pro-se motion claiming his attorney didn't inform him his parental rights had been terminated in a timely manner, and didn't tell him that he had a right to appeal.

He requested the right to file a belated appeal. The appeals court remanded the case to a lower court and granted a stay of adoption.
