Stop calling them Social Workers

It irritates me to have these CPS workers being referred to as Social Wokers. VERY, VERY, few of them are licensed Social Workers. Most of them are nothing. They have undergraduate degrees (could be in anything; psychology, health and human services, etc.) Then they are trained by CPS. MOST OF THEM ARE NOT LICENSED. It's usually only the Supervisors that these workers report to that have a license. Call these idiots what they are, workers or case workers. They aren't Social Workers.

I call them social workers because in my mind and in context of my speech, it is the most pitiful and horrible thing to be called. No cuss word or anything approaches that term. To call them idiots or human would be giving them too much credit. The few who are real social workers, and are human, I don't use that term- I use government employee or person or something else. It allows me to display my scorn for them without breaking the rules of communication. These people know it too, in person they will move back, widen their eyes, and change their conversation. They are even effected over the phone or in emails. And I get to do it with that evil and crazy smile this situation has put in me, and they cannot tell me to leave for abusive launguage or anything.
Just my two cents, probably not right but I'm past right.

I stopped calling them social workers a long time ago.

I've heard a lot of complaints about the fact that most caseworkers aren't licensed social workers, as if that would make a difference. The woman who took my DIL's newborn, lied about DIL & my son, and belittled them every chance she got has an MSW. The majority of caseworkers are self-righteous family wreckers with minimal qualifications. Ours was a self-righteous family wrecker with great professional credentials. Education obviously isn't the solution here.

As CS Lewis wrote, “Education without values, as useful as it is, seems rather to make man a more clever devil.”

Can't remember where I first saw the term, maybe on this very site. I love "Social Wreckers" and that's the term I use most in my blog and to the bitch who wrecked my world. Child Punishing Service was an accronym I initially heard from a Gmother going through her own struggle with the wreckers.

Edit for spelling

Missouri caseworkers have to, are you ready? ...hold an associates degree in any subject and get 20 hours training, to kidnap our children. With 11 of those hours being centered around how to convince families they're on your side. Puke....even the supervisors hold the same prerequisites. Only circuit managers and up have to actually have brains. No heart/morals required.

That 20 hours of training is more than enough to convince them that they know more than you do about what's best for your kids.

"You know the only people who are always sure about the proper way to raise children? Those who've never had any."
~ Bill Cosby

I think this quote is so true. That's why I chose to place it first on my blog.

My only response is that I wish you weren't so absolutely right about that statement!
