What is a grandmother to do ?

Postby Susan9 » Thu Aug 10, 2006 9:47 pm

My son was falsely accused in 2/05 by his ex of domestic abuse, he ended up getting a order of protection against her and the case against him was thrown out by family and criminal court.. She filed a complaint he was never arrested.
While he and his ex were legally seperated his girlfriend had a child. His wife took him back and a mouth later filed the bogus charge against him.
Eventually they seperated again and divorce papers were filed.
The entire time is son has lived with him.

This year(6/06) the divorce was granted and 5 days after it was his ex called CPS hotline and accused him once again of domestic violence in 2/05. CPS came out and investigated and "indicated" him.
I have had custody of my grandchild since 5/06 since he travels a lot for his job and has lived with me solely since 10/05.

He was told today that CPS does not believe he is the father of this child, based on his ex's rantings. They have disregarded what the natural mother has said or what the birth certificate has said. CPS has threated her so many times it is crazy, theated to take her other kids, cut her off food stamps but she has not backed down on her statement that this is my son's child.

CPS also told him that, his mother, him and the baby's mother made false statements so I could get custody of the child in my home state. ALL of this is a lie.

He has supported this child its entire life (19 mos) , the child has his name andacknowledged paternity, and is on the birth certificate.
What should we do these folks seem hell bent on destorying another child's life.
This child has never been on public assistance or anything.

How can CPS even indicate a case which was thrown out by 2 courts as it relates to domestic violence.

Any advise or help you can offer would be appreciated ?
Also please pray for us.
Sue

Inconclusive in paternity testing is nonexistent. Something doesn't sound right here.

Here are links to explain what an "indicated" disposition means.

if you are not the biological parent a paternity test will exclude you 100 percent, if you are the bioligical parent it will come back like 99.999 or something like that. unless you got alot of inbreeding going on??????????

I made a mistake, A Paternity test was NEVER done because my son or the child's mother have NEVER questioned the paternity, only my son's crazy ex has.

then they need to go take a paternity test. if they are questioning paternity, go get it established, seems pretty simple if you ask me.
