I posted a new thread on the validity of "tests" used as evidence. Will post more as I find things.

I think these criteria for scientific evidence should apply to psychological testing.

http://fightcps.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=35147#35147

The news article I happened to see for something else explains the legal requirements for using tests in court as scientific evidence.

They have to prove

the test is reliable

and performed by a qualified operator

with the proper equipment.

And they must also call an expert to explain the meaning of the test.

You might want to do some further reading on this subject.

In 1988 a group of Psychologists broke away from the American Psychological Association and formed their own association called the Association for Psychological Science and they are approximately 15,000 strong today. They disagreed with many of the findings by the APA and distanced themselves from them

The above link will tell you why they distanced themselves and the link below is to their site.

My daughter quoted Carol Tavris in her Dec of Facts and showed how these evals were misleading. We were thankful we had a good judge who saw through all of this garbage right down to the evals.

Marina, do you think it would be something to add to your posts of criteria of scientific evidence?

This is not legal advice;hopefully wisdom

To put it in simple terms…when the authorities ARE the perpetrators and the perpetrators ARE the authorities, there is no earthly justice or recourse, at the end of the day (unless the American people wake up).

Therefore, those who have achieved the highest levels of power seek to ‘enjoy’ the most grievous and extreme injustices. For many of those in the highest circles of power, the greatest statement of power is to perpetrate the greatest possible injustice…the savage, brutal traumatization and abuse of an innocent child.

Thanks Dazeemay!
I had not heard that APA had such vigorous defectors!
Studying this other group of legit Psychologists and
their complaints could be VERY revealing!

Well, got my records from mental health & talked to my counselor. There was no eval done. Went sraight to theraphy. Of course being the original woman I seen is no longer there, there's no way to find out why.Hubby spoke to the caseworker yesterday & was informed that we can no longer escort our kids to the bathroom alone because of a comment made. It was said in the visiting room not the bathroom. My son asked his father when they were coming home. Hubby told him we were hiring a lawyer but we would need to borrow some of their money (savings accounts that we opened for them that also has my name on it). My son said yeah, so, you'll give it back to us, right? No biggie. That was said a couple weeks ago. This was brought up to the caseworker Friday. We're thinking my parents were discussing how we were able to hire a lawyer & my son said daddy took our money. My kids have always had input on everything. I admit most parents do hide some things from their kids, but our way of thinking is if it concerns them, then they have a right to know.My son is mature for his age & understands more than any of these people give him credit for.If we thought different than nothing would've been said. Also now children & family services are asking for financial info from us. Paystubs, soc. sec. #'s, birth certs, etc. supposingly my parents aren't getting foster care subsidy, so what is the money they get from state & federal going for. They tell me they need this info to get reimbursed for preventative services they're providing. Caseworker explains this as transportation of kids for visits, meeting with family, etc. What aboout the time lost from work for my husband to do these things & money spent on these evals & theraphy sessions that had to come from our pockets? They gonna reimbuse us for that? Yeah, I know, dream on. Our lawyer called their lawyer Thursday, & is still waiting to hear back from them. He's gonna try again today. If he doesn't hear anything or doesn't get the results he wants, then he's gonna file a petition with the court. He was hoping to settle out of court, but.

Is your attorney going to tear into them for having you
in therapy when no psych eval was completed?

That's bordering on criminal if it's not outright criminal.

Well, the lawyer wanted to talk to their lawyer to see if they could settle things out of court. As of yesterday he hadn't heard back. He said he would give them til the end of the day to get back to him otherwise he would be petitioning the court. I wasn't able to get a hold of him this afternoon. We're also in the process of getting hubby's records from the drug & alcohol rehab to see if that points to the same situation. Then we will by pushing for something to happen. Not sure yet exactly which way this will be handled. Hopefully he'll call me in the morning. Otherwise I guess I'll have to call him back. Hubby went to his 1st "drug treatment" today. Even that guy thinks this is bogus.

I suppose unlike many other services, there is no
shortage of real customers for drug rehab.
The rehab person probably knows that in a way it
devalues the rehab program to have people
run through it based on bogus information.
