Update

Okay, well a lot has happened since I was last on here. I just needed a break to gather my strength.

The social worker, as some of you may remember through the e-mails, breached confidentiality in a major way. She approached me in a bar and talked specifically about my case in front of many people. This continued on for some time. I told a supervisor in another county and she told her supervisor and the county office manager I guess. The social worker is no longer on my case and cannot have any contact with me. She was suppose to have done visitations which didn't happen and has continued to lie. The family therapist also spoke with her supervisor and told her that the SW has lied and taken out of context things that he has said. My case will be transfered on Monday to a new SW.

On Monday we will have a meeting with the family therapist, my individual therapist, the supervisor, and the new social worker. I may still be able to meet with the county office manager and at one time the supervisor that was trying to set that up mentioned an internal investigation.

My daughter's birthday is today, but we are celebrating tomorrow at my house. The first time they've been to my house in almost two years!

I haven't filed the motions yet. I've waited to sort some of this other garbage out. My attorney did read my motions and said that it was apparent I had done my homework but disagreed with me filing them. She said that if I went ahead they are going to do everything in their power to take my kids and to make me out to be a nutjob. When I said that she could still represent me and file them for me, she said she couldn't go there.

My attorney filed an appeals notice and has thirty days to file the brief. After that my case will be referred to an appeals specialist in another city. My lawyer says she is good. I will wait until the meeting on Monday and until the psychological evaluations are set up but before the thirty days I will file my motions.

ANY advice or suggestions at this point will be great! I am not sure at this point which direction to go or how to handle the breach etc. I know that alone gives me good standing I am just not sure on where to take it.

Anyway, I am thinking about you all.

February sixth is my daughters birthday too. She has just turned ten. She is the one with severe autism so we just had some cake and ice cream at grandmas house next door.

We still live in fear that CPS will come to our door again. We know we are good parents. We got off lucky three times in a row with no removals or CHINS orders or service orders, but I do not think we will be that lucky if CPS shows up at our door again. We all know how easy it is for them to make a huge deal out of a sink full of dirty dishes and some toys on the floor. Thanks for the update.

How old is your daughter?
