CASA?

What is a CASA worker? What is their role? I guess it would be silly to ask who's side they tend to be one since the only people that seem to be on the side of my family are myself, my husband and our children!

Court Appointed Special Advocate
They are appointed by the judge and report directly to the court. They have access to all CPS files and attend most meetings regarding the child.
They are only involved if CPS has legal custody of the child.
