How to remove name from Child Abuse Central Index?

Postby salman501 » Fri Nov 07, 2008 3:02 pm

I was initially referred by CPS to be listed in CACI. Today I got a letter from San Diego Police Dept and they have also put my name on CACI.

My question to you, is what is the process of removing name from CACI. When can the name be removed, and who can request the name be removed?

Also having name on CACI, how does it effect my employment, in jobs other than involving children.

Thanks

It's not just jobs with kids it is also jobs with older people like in nursing homes also some federal jobs you won't be able to get. Now say you want to work in someplace like in retail it isn't going to matter.

Is there any procedure of removing the name when the case closes?

You will have to go to court to request a judge to remove your name from the central index. No guarantee that he will, but you can ask.

Thanks for the great links, Marina. I will put them on the front page of the site... I'm about to do some maintenance and perhaps a bit of rearranging of things in the side columns.
