new, here's my story.
a couple of weekends ago one of my coworkers needed a place to stay for a couple of nights cuz she was having roommate troubles (or so she said) and she asked if her and her boyfriend could stay with us for a couple nights. turns out he was a runaway from Juvenile detention (17yrs old) and she had helped him get out, but I didn't find this out till afterwards. she had told me that they were both 18. we let them stay on our screened in porch that is seperate from the house because I didn't know them that well. the second night they were there I was at work (I work evenings from 7pm to 2am) and my husband and children (I have 2 daughters ages 3 years and 7 months) were sleeping upstairs and her and her boyfriend had someone buy them some alcohol and were drinking. the next day a cop and the boy's mother showed up to arrest him and saw a bottle of alcohol that they had left out and so the boy got arrested and the girl got a ticket for MIP (minor in possession). the cop asked where they had gotten the alcohol and both of them told him it was a friend of theirs from down the road. he then asked me if I had gotten it for them and I very specifically said no that I was at work and my husband and daughters had been sleeping. then he said that if he had to give me a ticket for it he was going to call CPS on me. I told him again that I had not bought it. well.........he still has not given me a ticket, he cannot prove anything because I did not do it, but he still called CPS. they came on Friday and told me that my house was too cluttered but that since there were no violations that they could see they couldn't open a case yet. then one of them tried to take pictures of my house!!! (which I might add was NOT dirty, just cluttered cuz my daughter just had her birthday party a couple days before). I told them they had to leave and they told me I had to have it clean by monday when they would be back to check. then on Sunday an officer stopped by to get our phone number cuz he said CPS had forgotten to get it from us and he told us that they wouldn't be here monday, they'd be here tuesday, and it would be different workers than the ones that had come at first. well, they STILL have not showed up and it's 12:45pm. we don't do anything illegal, and we know there is nothing substantial that they could pin on us, but I'm still really scared. so, that's why I'm here.
you might want to get some advice because even though you know you have done nothing wrong cps will come take your kids
im new here to but they did take my daughter for reason i do understand but from my understanding alot of people here have had their children taken without any real good cause
i know they have something on here about giving legal guardianship to someone you trust
if cps takes your kids it will be a very long hard process

The below links tell you why you do not want cps to come into your home. Meet with them in their office with a lawyer if you can. Or with a witness.

The below link or what are called case laws; this is what the courts have decided our your legal rights to be a parent. These result from parents having appealed the higher courts to get their children back.

You need to understand this and apply it and always remember cps is taking stronger and stronger stands against parents and the politicians are backing them up.

This is not legal advice;hopefully wisdom
To put it in simple terms…when the authorities ARE the perpetrators and the perpetrators ARE the authorities, there is no earthly justice or recourse, at the end of the day (unless the American people wake up).
Therefore, those who have achieved the highest levels of power seek to ‘enjoy’ the most grievous and extreme injustices. For many of those in the highest circles of power, the greatest statement of power is to perpetrate the greatest possible injustice…the savage, brutal traumatization and abuse of an innocent child.

splizzrinkle,
I will just have to keep typing on my keyboard until that day happens.
Looking forward to seeing that day with you and thousands upon thousands upon thousands of parents I hope.
