My husband and I have custody of our grandson. We asked the childs parent's they are not married, and they signed all the neccessary papers. We went into court in our state and were award custody for 5 years.
My son had been raising his child as a single parent. He got a new job traveling so we have had the child FT since 9/05 and he comes and visits every weekend.
Someone told me son that because he had been indicated in a bogus CP case the order could be vacated.
Can one state ignore another's custody order or asked that it be vacated ?
Custody can one state vacate anothers ?

Here is
UNIFORM CHILD-CUSTODY JURISDICTION
AND ENFORCEMENT ACT
http://www.law.upenn.edu/library/ulc/uc ... ldcus2.htm
Go to your state's government website.
Search > government > legislature > statutes or codes > family code > child custody
See if they adopted this Uniform child-custody act, and see if they modified it.
I think just about every state has adopted it like it is.
