Hi I live in Tennessee. My kids are in the care of grandparents. It is considered permanent guardianship
where the state pays them monthly. They are not in CPS custody. Our case ended about 3 yrs ago.
Does anyone know what chances we have of regaining custody? We found a few things that said
the guardianship is only granted is adoption and reunification is not possible at this time.
One of the reasons they were kept from us was because of the neighborhood we lived in.
We are finally able to move to a much more approciate neighborhood. We still go to counseling, for
our own benifit. We both work and do not drink, smoke or do drugs. We are wanting to get our youngest
back who turns 12 next August. Her guardian is not cooperating with the court orders and the child
cries all the time that she wants to come home. We feel we have changed the circumstance which
led to removel. Does anyone have any answers for us?
Thanks
