EDITORIAL: Create juvenile registry

Washington will slap Tennessee with a $1 million-plus penalty if the state fails to comply with the federal Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act requirements by next July. Under the Walsh Act, some juvenile sex offenders should be listed on a registry just as adults are.

Note: Awwww... I wonder if Children's Rights knows about this.Tennessee foster system could get out from under federal suit

To put it in simple terms…when the authorities ARE the perpetrators and the perpetrators ARE the authorities, there is no earthly justice or recourse, at the end of the day (unless the American people wake up).

Therefore, those who have achieved the highest levels of power seek to ‘enjoy’ the most grievous and extreme injustices. For many of those in the highest circles of power, the greatest statement of power is to perpetrate the greatest possible injustice…the savage, brutal traumatization and abuse of an innocent child.

My brother was gang-raped by a group of teens while in foster care. Nothing was done about it, of course. I would love to see the names of those boys on that list.
I've not yet gotten entangled in CPS myself. I perceive, however, that the threat is very real. I prefer to prepare now, which is why I am here.
If I seem ignorant, it's probably because I am. If I make a stupid remark, it's likely because I don't understand how I'm coming across. Just smack me and set me straight.

did anyone know that under this same law, if you have ever had a biological child removed from you care, for any reason, you are not eligible to getlicensing for foster care. I had my daughter removed from my care when she was 15 for harming herself and runinng away. I finally had to have her put into a juvenile detention facility so that she could get the intense care that she needed at the time. I am now in the middle of a battle with cps to get temoporary custody of my grandchildren. They removed them from my daughters care, and now the law says that I cannot have them unless I am a licensed foster parent, but since the mother was removed from my physical custody for her own protedction as a child, I am not a fit candidate, so my application cannot even be started, therefore I have no right to appeal.

How can a system that is suppose to be there for the protection of children willfully twist wording so that the same people who are trying to protect children are punished for doing so.

Im from Tennessee, and my husbands brother lived in a boys home for over a yr because his mom couldnt control him. She is the one
who sent him there, however when our kids were taken they put our youngest child with her and gave her permanent guardianship
with my husbands brother still living in the home. The brother is an adult now, but they ignored the fact that she had a history
because she put her son in a home and still gave her the guardianship to our child. She had take a class for foster care.
Its a kinship program.

Madmother2010 here is a link about federal law on kinship relative care...http://www.cwla.org/programs/kinship/faq.htm scroll down on the article until you come to How Do Federal Laws Impact etc....

You can petition the court. CPS is to follow federal law when it comes to relatives...best advice I can give u on this matter is to not approach doing this on your own. Find a lawyer who fights cps cases and says so and make sure he knows it an is not just lipping it to get a case.

Their are too many grandparents who think they can fight this on their own and end up in a tangled mess not knowing their rights and the laws.

How long ago was your daughter in their care? Is your name still on the Central Registry? Some states have a time line on how long your name is on it. This is another reason you need a lawyer. If your name is suppose to be off of it then he will have to get it expunged for you to proceed.

Never take their word for anything. They don't want to give up their monies and want you out of the picture.
