If you want to try to get custody of the baby, go directly to court and file the petition. Don't expect CPS to help. If the petition is denied at the hearing, you can appeal it.

I will let somebody else answer your question, but beware that they usually throw parents an accusation of sexual molestation at the very end, done by the father. Don't leave the kids alone. Document everything. They always try to pull this off.

. Look up all the regulations you can find. Look up the type of state license you have - Social Agency, Health Dept. Mental Health, Fire Marshall... Go to the Social Agency and ask to look into their files for your institution. These are public. Then look up the federal regulations - MEDICAID, etc. ...

Petition the juvenile court directly for custody and guardianship. Call the Clerk of the Court and ask where you can get the form and submit it, the filing fee, etc. If they deny it, you can file an appeal which goes to a higher court.
