Re: CHILD/ALONE/CPS questioning??
Falsifying records and twisting words in their reports is easier and takes less time than putting all the nuances and qualifications into it.

Re: soon to be ex accused me of harming my son
Dieharddad: You really need to petition the court to order your son to be examined by an independent psychologist/psychiatrist -- someone who is resistant to the kind of witch hunt you are being subjected to. You need an expert witness who is solidly in your court, who can counter the claims that yo...

Re: accused of molesting step daughter
When I was in a similar situation, I opted for a legal separation. That way, my wife was still covered by my medical insurance. Don't know whether your state has a legal separation, though.

Re: allegations of neglect
You need to find out what this is all about. What are their specific allegations and concerns? Simply saying "neglect" is not good enough. That could range from inadequate supervision, to medical neglect, to failing to provide a safe environment, etc., etc. In most states, children witness...

Re: Firefighter who helped save lives needs help now!
I had to spend over $100k in legal fees to get my family reunited with my CPS ordeal. However, I was lucky enough not to lose my job. I wish there were an insurance policy a person could take out to cover unexpected legal fees like this. For somebody with no prior record, the rates shouldn't be too ...

Re: accused of molesting step daughter
The answer to your question depends on exactly what your no-contact order says. Does it forbid you to have contact with your wife, or just with your daughter and step-daughter? If it does not forbid you to have contact with your wife, then you can meet with her in person if no children are present o...

Re: About to lose my grandchildren
I think you're still very much in the running for getting temporary physical custody of your grandchildren, despite your prior RTB. The judge seems to be on your side. CPS has to go through its formalities (which it appears to be doing) and present its findings to the judge. Based on what you have w...

since I was to honest she refused to even use my scores and says me and the wife need to do DV counseling. Sometimes absolute honesty is not the best policy with these people. You need to spin the facts in a way your adversaries want to hear. You should say you share their concerns about DV, and th...

CPS won't reunify you with your children until you are cleared of your criminal charges. Either the DA has to drop the case, or you need to be acquitted. That is your first priority now.

Re: Need advice
I've read a lot of bad things about Oregon CPS. I think your safest option would be to leave the state if you can. Your next safest option would be to promise never to live in your sister's house again. (They seem to have their biggest gripes about her, not you.) Your next safest option (if you are ...

Re: About to lose my grandchildren
As far as I can tell from your post, CPS is proceeding according to their policy guidelines. You should read their extensive regulations on this situation here: https://www.dfps.state.tx.us/handbooks/CPS/Files/CPS_pg_4500.asp#CPS_4527 CPS cannot place the children with someone with an RTB finding un...

Re: Court Issued Me Unsupervised Visits! CPS Still investiga
Congratulations on getting unsupervised visits! That's a major milestone, which indicates you are on the path to reunification. Regarding your other questions, CPS (or ACS in your state) still has legal custody over your child, so they are still calling the shots and you must still abide by their wi...

I was not aware that your symptom of voices could be caused by post-partum ocd. Not being a psychiatrist or having researched the matter myself, let us assume this is true. Certainly you cannot expect CPS social workers to be able to make this distinction, either. Your whole case hinges on expert wi...

I think this is more hot air from CPS. According to the federla Gun Control Act of 1968, a person is prohibited from owning a firearm for various reaons, including the case where the person: (8) is subject to a court order that restrains such person from harassing, stalking, or threatening an intima...

Re: Firefighter who helped save lives needs help now!
This is a very sad story. However, anyone who has had a CPS case go terribly awry can totally believe that things could get this bad. You can only hope that the criminal justice system can be fair in your case, that you get an impartial judge and a jury that will see reasonable doubt in what the pro...

I'm not sure why you're so concerned about CPS learning the paternity of daughter. Did you want to conceal his identity? Why? CPS is supposed to determine the identify both parents. If one parent is deemed to be unfit in some way, they may temporarily or permanently place the child with the other pa...

Re: Motion for Placement
You probably cannot appeal the judge's decision, but the father can. He and you should a sworn affidavit explaining why you feel it would be in the children's best interest to be placed with you. Explain the ties they have with you, and include pictures of your home. etc. You could also get a licens...

Re: I'm new here. DHS attacking innocent family in MI.
This Gardner fellow is an idiot. I would recommend writing a respectful letter to DHS denying the assertion that you have no propane storage tank or heater. Enclose pictures in your letter. Ask the department to reconsider its denial of assistance. As far as CPS is concerned, it sounds like they are...

A strip search of a child in school is going a bit too far. Forensic examinations are supposed to be performed by qualified medical personnel.

Re: Investigation was leaked- false accusations- forced safe
If you're going to take that route, may I suggest that your husband leave state first and pave the way for you. Let him find a job, a place to live and establish residency. On your end, just carry on as you're doing now. If you need to sell your home, put it on the market. If CPS asks you why, just ...

Re: using my mental health against me! please help us
Two things popped into my mind as I was reading your story. The first is that you should be entitled to a court-appointed attorney to represent your interests in this case. This is standard procedure whenever a child is taken into state custody. The second thing is that CPS is most concerned not abo...

Re: Investigation was leaked- false accusations- forced safe
I'm not sure. Maybe a private psychologist could administer a "test" for DV tendencies. Search web services for counselors, psychologists, etc. Of course, there's no way you can "test" for such a thing. That's why it's highly subjective, and you should try to find someone who is ...

Re: Investigation was leaked- false accusations- forced safe
Agencies that get a lot of their business from CPS referrals have an interest to slant their results in the way CPS wants them to come out. That is how they get their repeat business, and it's one more way CPS tips the scales in its favor.
