Re: Any suggestions at all are appreciated!!

When you get to court on Monday, you will be assigned a court-appointed attorney (assuming you don't have $$ to hire your own). Your husband will ALSO be assigned and attorney. Your kids will get either one attorney, or maybe different attorneys since they have different dads. First, it's to your be...

Re: My Friend Needs Advice

Jason wants Lucy to live in the house with the kids. He can stay with his parents until the whole mess is over with. He told her he will keep paying the rent for the house while she and the kids stay there. He said he would change the locks so only she had the key if she wanted. She's saying no, ev...

Re: Woe is me

Don't sweat your caseworker/case.... if she wanted to take the kids, she would have petitioned the court and written up a novella to justify it. You're good. Rest. Relax. Work on your defusing skills with mom. Make a silly face when things start to escalate. :) Lawless America.... well.................

Re: Woe is me

Here in Los Angeles County, they refuse to communicate via email and rarely put anything in writing. This helps then cover their tracks when they lie to you. You should be grateful that they are willing to communicate via email because then they can't deny what they said. They have a horrible habit ...

Re: Woe is me

Avoid ”Lawless America” Locally, attend and speak at county board of supervisor meetings. Federally, write to your congress folk and encourage them to change the money-grabbing incentive program that drives the unnecessary removal of children for the profit of the state. Could you imagine what would...

Re: Woe is me

My sister called to let our caseworker know she was going to be there monday. The caseworker told her that she spoke with her supervisor and there isnt enough evidence to remove our kids. Contrary to what they both have been telling me all along. Anybody else think this is another tactic? She says ...

Re: Most bizarre CYS investigation, but still need help/advi

A body cavity search is either a visual search or a manual internal inspection of body cavities such as for prohibited material (contraband), such as illegal drugs, money, jewelry, or weapons. It is far more invasive than the standard strip search that is typically performed on individuals taken in...

Re: Woe is me

Sometimes we need to take a break from people in our lives. Grandpa is the one who is trying to ruin the kids' lives by taking them ...

Dead serious question here... is that all that it takes?

Non-serious question... and you didn't include a cavity search???

Well, there is the incident when mom thru the swing at me and it landed on my son....... And shes claiming my past and our domestic violence (fighting) is enough in itself to remove them. Enough to remove them FROM MOM, not both of you. I am assuming you did SOMETHING to prevent further risk of inj...

Re: Woe is me

I think you're pretty well informed on the ways this could go. Just a few things... WRITE IT DOWN. Have a few specific questions, especially the one about the investigation/assessment time being expired, and ask them politely, but point-blank, "how much time do you, by law, have to complete you...

Re: New and facing a safe meeting with dss

You really do seem to have a great foundation for your case. Just keep phrasing, in many ways, how important it is for the children to be with their siblings and how you already have a WELL-established relationship with them. There are good judges out there, CPS does not always prevail... it's all a...

Re: While fighting cps, now fosterparents filed petion to tp

First, I think you're right. When the state has custody, all matters concerning custody are to be handled by juvenile court. And in Juvenile court, individual parties can not file to terminate your parental rights... but then every state is different... I would be surprised if they had a legal stand...

I just have to know... what sorts of allegations is she making from a completely different state? And has there been any confirmation that the calls are from her (not that I'm doubting it is her, but I'm wondering if CPS and/or police have clued you in to who is doing it).
