Re: Update and call for any help
When meeting up with these people do not have a "macho" attitude. It will make them come at you all the more. It is a grin and kick them in the "butt" later attitude. This goes for any meetings you attend if you do. You must come across cool, calm and collective. After all, you a...

The transformation in Maine. After a little girl named Logan Marr was taken needlessly from her mother only to be killed by a foster mother who formerly worked for the child welfare agency, the people of Maine refused to settle for pat answers about background checks and licensing standards. Re: My 5 month old daughter got taken...PLEASE HELP!
I edited your post. You do not want to leave your name on this site as many cps workers troll this site for information. Like Angel said, you need to get a lawyer. Many times just giving them a retainer fee will be enough to ward them off. You must get a lawyer who adamantly says on his website that...

Re: STANDBY GUARDIANSHIP STATE BY STATE
PreNeedDesignation Guardian. I was alerted to this type of guardianship from a poster; so far I have only found it for Florida. L.Preneed Guardian - F.S.§744.3045 A person may, while mentally capacitated, make a written declaration naming the person to serve as guardian in the event of the declarant...

Re: An Ounce Of Prevention-
I have done a lot of on line search for this type of guardian law and your state is the only one who has it. Not to say others do not because some articles indicate that other states have it.
Thanks again for the headsup on this type of guardianship.

Your state may say that you have to petition the court and they give you so many days to do it in. Carefully read what is involved. They will and have challenged these petitions.
Again it depends on your judge.

Re: An Ounce Of Prevention-
But remember, I said that the states have been changing their policies about guardianship and one state, Texas, has already done that by stipulating that if a court is involved, which cps could do that very easily, then the guardianship does not work. My hunch, is that in your case they have dropped...

Re: An Ounce Of Prevention-
In regards to guardianship many of the states have changed their laws in regards to this. You need to look up your state laws on standby guardianship. One state has put into its form that if a court is to be involved the guardianship cannot be used. Love your ingenuity; tigress has a lot of info on ...
