No Show for parent going for custody against CPS?

Postby twinlove89 » Thu Jun 27, 2013 6:20 pm

So I have my 4th hearing tomorrow with the courts to try and get my children back in my care. The CPS case was filed against me only (single mother). The father has left his kids twice and showed no interest until CPS got involved. CPS has already recommended to return the children to me (they advised against the father due to past drug charges) and my children's lawyer is requesting the same along with my lawyer. I just found out that my ex who was trying to win custody for himself against me is no longer showing to the hearing tomorrow. Does anyone know what will happen? Will his lawyer still appear for him? he is not a public attorney. And secondly will the Judge likely make a decision with or without him or will they push it back? Thanks for any input.
