I have a public attorney. As probably most everyone on this forum I am fighting to get my children back from CPS care. CPS has already recommended TWICE to the courts to return my children to my care but the courts still refuse to do so. My lawyer barely says anything in my defense and he has many things he can use to squash this case. I am barely affording food right now and there is NO way I can afford to get a private attorney. Any suggestions on how to make my lawyer WORK FOR ME? Everything is in front of him. He doesn't have to prepare or research anything but hes just too old, too overworked, and too lazy to do anything. HELP I can't let this lawyer lose my children!
P.S. He gives me the impression he doesn't even believe me that I never abused or neglected my children.

file a grievance with the bar association. that should get his attention. might want to complain about the judge to the judiciary committee also. letters short and to the subject may be good enough.
