FYI, lawyers don't hang out on this website. You'd probably be better off calling firms or doing a websearch like this:

Advice & opinions provided are no substitute for genuine legal assistance. Laws & rules vary by state/jurisdiction so do your homework and get
an education in CPS laws, rules & practices so that you can FIGHT for your children's rights. I am not a lawyer. Your mileage may vary.

Unfortunately, it can be hard to find an attorney who'll fight CPS, even if you have money to spend. Try the link Eljay gave you, but also check through the pages of this website. Read through some of the older posts to see what has worked for other parents and grandparents.

CPS targets families who can't afford lawyers. That's no coincidence. What many people here have found is that they have to become their own attorneys, so to speak.

Here are some links to get you started:

http://www.justicewomen.com/tips_bewarechildprotectiveservices.html
http://familyrights.us/educate/

You may find some helpful information on the Kentucky CHS website. Others on this forum have sometimes used their state websites to find information that actually helped them fight or avoid CPS. http://chfs.ky.gov/dcbs/dpp/childsafety.htm At the very least, this page will tell you how to contact your state ombudsman if you need to file a complaint about your case.
These are my personal opinions only. They are not legal, medical, or financial advice.
