Octo-Grandma Confronts Daughter About Child Services Visit
Friday May 1, 2009

Octo-mom Nadya Suleman was confronted by her mother Angela after child protective services paid a visit to her home.

"How did this happen?" Angela demands as RadarOnline.com cameras roll, showing her daughter the front page of the local newspaper, which reported the story.

VIDEO: Watch Angela and Nadya fight.

On Wednesday, the La Habra Police Department and Social Services of Orange County stopped by Nadya's home to investigate a claim of neglect.

The mother-daughter -- who have had a contentious relationship -- continue to bicker back and forth, with Nadya cutting her mom off at one point: "I'm talking!"

"This is stupid," Nadya says. "Social workers said, 'This has been a false allegation, but thank you for being so open and transparent.'"

"My child got bitten by my two-year-old," Nadya continues, while Angela makes the cameras turn off momentarily.

Once they're back on tape, Nadya goes on: "CPS is on my side. Nothing happened to Kaleb. He got bitten by Aidan. He has meltdowns, he slams his face on the ground. Especially when one is autistic, they will slam themselves...."

LA HABRA – Octuplets' mom Nadya Suleman was visited Wednesday by two La Habra detectives along with officials from the Children and Family Services division of Orange County Social Services.

Suleman's attorney, Jeff Czech, said the agency was responding to a call made by her autistic son's teacher after the boy showed up at school with a black eye.

"It was a mandatory report by a teacher," Czech said.

The detectives were present at the request of the agency, according to a press release from La Habra police spokeswoman, Cindy Knapp.

"As is customary, the department routinely assists other agencies, when so requested. However, the La Habra Police Department is not involved in any ongoing investigation pertaining to this family," the release stated.

Suleman told the Web site, Radaronline.com, that since her son is autistic, he sometimes "bumps into things."

"The kid does jump around," Czech said.

The child also had bite marks on his body and Suleman said her other children sometimes bite.

Czech said the children's nannies are watched closely and there is nothing that gives any indication of any abuse or neglect in the home.

Still, he believes Children and Family Services may continue to follow up on their investigation.

"With her (Suleman), they will cross their T's," Czech said.
