Doctor Needed

Postby captainhuggyface » Sat Jun 13, 2015 9:00 am

My CPS battle began when my child had a seizure. The hospital reported to CPS that her medication blood levels were very low & for them to have reached that level, she would have had to have gone 4-5 days without her medication. This resulted in me being charged with medical neglect. I got information from the drugs manufacturer which contradicted the hospitals account. However, when I presented that to the judge, I was told that they would still side with the hospital because they "assume that the doctor is aware of all available research". Which is just crazy. The doctor in question is not a specialist & is not even her actual doctor. Just some random person who happened to be working that day.

Her normal doctor works for the same hospital, so I hesitate to go to him because I'm afraid that he will be unwilling to contradict the hospital's previous statements.

Basically, I need to find my own "expert witness", so, I am hoping to find a doctor that is willing to read over the manufacturers information regarding the drug and make a statement concerning it.

Go to a pediatric neurologist. It might be that the prescribed level was too low. It has to be increased as the child's weight increases.
