Signing temp. custody to the other parent
My daughter and her husband have been split up since June, he mentally and physically abused her, but was never arrested for it , after the last incident we moved her out with the kids over by us in an apartment. she had a affair with the guy she is with now and that was the last reason for him chocking her. This new guy also has anger issues and was addicted to meth 6 months ago but has stopped to be with her, he got mad and argued with her and she pushed him and his head hit the porch window (after what she went through, she don"t take shit from anyone now) and one of her friends called the cops because she thought he was going to hit her, she was taken to jail for domestic battery and the kid came to my house that evening (they had been in bed p.m.) the CPS gave temp full custody to their dad and want her to sign papers tomorrow .They heard her boyfriend once smoked meth and they want both to take anger management classes . they drug tested both of them and they passed. We told her to ditch the boyfriend , but she will not. And now she is carrying his child.CPS Told her to come in and sign these papers to give her husband temp. primary custody , should she ? now that i have written it down , it sounds flippen crazy, but any help would be appreciated !!

Most likely, if she doesn't (or didn't) sign over custody, CPS will go to court to have a judge rule on the issue.
So, what did she decide to do?
With a boyfriend with a drug history, violence in the home, and her own arrest record, it is unlikely she'll be able to retain custody of her child... especially since she's not willing to give up the boyfriend to keep the child.
