Linda Jo et al.

Postby jeromedoc4u » Thu Aug 05, 2010 12:07 pm

Dear Linda Jo,
I recently saw or heard about the 2 federal cases here in CA one in Oakland Federal Dist Ct atty. Breavus won a case against c.p.s. and another in Orange County, Ca where grandparents were awarded 2 1/2 million dollar punitive damgae award from a case against c.p.s. I believe but am not sure but with an atty. Shawn Mcmillian. I need to find the cases so I can use them as points & authorities in my own case. Do you know where to look? Thank you, Jereomeo :D

The Orange County case is Deanna Fogarty-Hardwick v. County of Orange. The attorney is Shawn A. McMillan. I'm attaching a pdf of the unpublished decision. Unpublished means, as I understand it, the decision cannot be considered legal precedent. You might want to contact the attorney to see if any part of this case could be used in your points and authorities.

I don't have information about the Oakland case... unless you're talking about one several years back.

Patricia Moodian v. Alameda County - she won $400,000 - Civil rights case number C 01-1546 BZ - filed in the US Disctrict Court, Northern District of California. Violation of the 4th and 14th amendments.

Hope this helps!
